It has been almost a week since I created a new post! My life has been so busy lately. We are in the process of moving out of our apartment, so we have been packing, moving furniture and cleaning. Although it can be a little hectic sometimes, I try to look at the positive aspects. We are finally able to sell furniture, give things away and throw away things we do not need.
Before we began this process, I wanted to take sometime to relax and unwind. Last Friday, I had a Spa Night. Sometimes I'll have them when I have been very stressed, but this time I wanted to do it so I could keep a positive attitude while we were moving. I began the Spa Night with a nice walk to the grocery store. I wanted to workout, but I wanted to do something that was very low impact. I figured a walk to the grocery store would be a nice compromise. At the grocery store, I bought an avocado facial mask cream and some things for dinner.
When I returned home, I proceeded to make a nice dinner of sushi with turkey bacon and avocado, and a parfait with strawberries, fat free whip cream, granola and ricotta cheese. At first, I was a little skeptical about making sushi with turkey bacon. Usually I'll make sushi that's very traditional in flavor, but the avocado turkey bacon sushi was very good. The parfait was filling but good. I think next time I will use less ricotta cheese.
After dinner, I put on my facial cream. I don't usually do facials, but with the weather effecting my skin I decided to try it out. I loved the avocado mask and it smelled really good. Overall, Friday night was a night well needed.
