A few days ago, I posted one of my favorite green smoothie recipes. Don't worry it's still my favorite recipe, but last night I decided to jazz it up a little bit and add some spices. I read an article about a dietitian who drinks a green smoothie everyday, but instead of just adding fruits and spinach, she spices things up with 1 tsp of cinnamon and 1 tsp of turmeric. When I first read it, I thought that sounded a little weird, but I am open to trying new things. So, last night when I was making my shake I added the cinnamon and turmeric. The smoothie was still just as good, if not better. The flavors were still cohesive, and the cinnamon added a little extra spice. I could barely even taste the turmeric!
