I began my journey on Monday. I woke up and had a fresh cup of tea, a breakfast sandwich and watched the morning news. It was very relaxing and I had an ample amount of time to get ready. I felt a little tired during the day. Around twelve o'clock I drank another cup of tea. I then thought to myself “Okay. You cannot just keep drinking caffeinated tea instead of coffee." If I kept drinking tea, then I might as well start drinking coffee.
Throughout the day, I ate the prepped meals I brought from home, but for some reason I wanted something sweet. I went to the vending machine that only sells all-natural and organic products. I bought rice puffs and gummi bears. The gummi bears were labeled with “no added sugar, all-natural, made with real fruit." After purchasing the gummi bears, I read the back of the label. There were twenty-three grams of sugar per serving. I thought that was so much, but I had already purchased them and did not want to throw them away. I ate them at work, and of course, perked up because of the amount of sugar I just consumed.
After work, I went home and relaxed. I laid down for about an hour and just took a thirty minute nap. When I woke up, I felt like I had hit a brick wall. It was the unexpected sugar crash. I laid there for a while trying to regain some sort of energy to work out, and when I finally did, I promised that I wane myself off of candies and milk chocolate. I don't need to eat them.
